In his eighth game of the season, forward Trevor Zegras scored his first two goals in a Philadelphia Flyers uniform on Saturday to fuel a 4-3 shootout victory over the New York Islanders.

Acquired in a trade from the Anaheim Ducks in June, the 24-year-old put in a strong performance with a brace and an assist, not to mention a goal in the shootout.
Zegras first contributed to former Montreal Canadiens Christian Dvorak's second-period success. However, it wasn't until the start of the third period that he finally hit the target. The same Dvorak noticed him in the face-off circle, and he immediately made a draw to beat goalkeeper Ilya Sorokin.
Then, with the score 3–2, he took advantage of a power play scrum and pushed the disc past the goalkeeper; the network was originally awarded to Noah Cates.
Matvey Michkov settled the debate during a separate session, just before Samuel Ersson closed the door on Anthony Duclair. The Quebecers also moved the ropes for the second time this year in favor of head coach Patrick Roy's men, who had won their previous four matches.
