NEVER, NEVER FORGET

Thanks for your heartfelt article, Joe (Warmington). I fear for the future due to the serious decline of our social structure and the goodness that used to be the norm in Canada.
In my nearly 70 years, I have witnessed how evil and greed motivate our political leaders and mainstream media instead of honesty, truth and decency. Their priorities are narrow and selfish. They are cold and heartless and don't care what they do to our once great country.
The world wars showed Canada's strength. Our soldiers were brave, selfless and strong in spirit. They and those citizens who remained believed and hoped for the future. They should never be forgotten for their sacrifice and service.

THEY WILL REMEMBER

If we restrict and/or stop the tradition of wearing poppies, more than 100,000 Canadians will have died (in two world wars) in vain. We will remember them!

SACRIFICED FOR OUR FREEDOM
Re: EDITOR: We must keep faith in those who have died, online, November 9th.
Truer words have never been spoken, for the freedoms we enjoy today were won through two world wars that spilled rivers of blood and cost many lives. Unfortunately, these victims are often not taught enough in our schools because many of them are new to Canada.
