I am truly saddened that Canada has lost its measles-free status.
I have a very personal view on vaccinations as I was fortunate to survive polio where I was paralyzed from the neck down, but thanks to months of rehabilitation at the Montreal Children's Hospital I have had no side effects from it and I know I am very lucky.
Bring back mandatory vaccinations for school attendance and stop pandering to all these people who get medical advice from Facebook.
I don't like government control over every aspect of my life, but there are areas that should be ignored.

2.0 FORWARD? SHAME ON YOU

Anyone who watched Atlético Ottawa make their way to the Soccer League championship in a massive snowstorm had to wonder why Lansdowne 2.0's plans didn't include an indoor field, but that's not the case. Why?
OSEG hasn't made a penny of profit from Lansdowne despite numerous promises, so why are they allowed to participate in 2.0? Shame on all those councilors, including the mayor, who voted for 2.0.

BLACK MAPLE LEAF?
Who the hell came up with that black Team Canada maple leaf for the Milan Cortina 2026 Olympic hockey team jerseys?
How depressing. I know it will be winter and all the dead leaves will fall off, but damn!
Again, this may be the perfect color for our national psyche against a backdrop of economic mismanagement, rampant crime, lack of legal accountability, systemic fraud and a broken disease treatment system. Just for starters.

BUDGET IS IGNORED INSTEAD OF WEAR
Some Liberal-friendly media outlets seem to be ignoring talk of a pathetic Liberal budget that will ultimately cost ordinary Canadians dearly but will likely benefit Mark Carney's green investments. The huge deficit is unsustainable. Instead they focus on their usual exaggerated criticism of Pierre Poiliève and the Conservatives. Poilievre proved himself to be an excellent leader. On the other hand, “leaders” like Carney and Justin Trudeau have proven that they have absolutely no integrity.
