Regarding Ben Eisen's article, he is right. I can't believe that the election of a Conservative government hasn't changed anything in Ontario.
The Ford government is spending the same as the Wynne government. They put the money in different pockets, but the result is the same: taxpayers have to pay more.
One thing that drove me crazy about the Wynne government was that they touted how great life was in Ontario because, well, never mind; at the end of the ad it says, “Paid for by the Government of Ontario.” Ford advertising is the same. Somebody needs to tell Doug Ford, like we kind of told Kathleen Wynne, that the government has no money. All the money they have comes from taxpayers.

The Ontario government currently has a debt load of about $455 billion, and they plan to add about $14.5 billion more to it this year.

THE AUDIT MUST MAKE MEANING
Re: Audits should be in the public interest, three Ottawa election investigations say online Oct. 17.
While audits of campaign spending are necessary to combat illegal activities, when does common sense kick in?
The City of Ottawa apparently spent a sum of more than $154,000 to audit the election expenses and expense reports of two councilors, although the amounts were nominal at just over $555. For both!
Wouldn't the realization that pursuing any misappropriation or illegal activity in relation to this rather nominal amount indicate that it is time to stop spending?

No wonder the city needs money from traffic cameras.

LARGE FISH FOR FRYING
Beer in grocery stores was a big deal, then speed cameras came along, and now Premier Ford has a beef with the resale prices of World Series tickets.
Doug Ford has more important things to do, and he has until April 3, 2026 to do what he promised to do in 2018.
On June 10, 2018, Doug Ford tweeted: “Our government will ensure that events like Al-Quds Day, which calls for the killing of all civilians in Israel, are no longer part of the Ontario landscape.”
Get to frying, Doug!
