Now it reads: “All negotiations on trade deals have ceased.” There is an old saying that “Bloggins” are temperamental: 10 percent temperamental and 90 percent mental. You can argue about the proportions that apply to “The Donald”, but whatever they are, I'm sure most Canadians are more than fed up with a shambolic trade deal that failed because of a petulant child in the White House.

Prime Minister Mark Carney's “time to talk” approach is also wearing thin. Talking gets us nowhere, and we all know the definition of insanity. It's time for Carney and Canada to face reality. Stop reacting and dancing to Donald Trump's shenanigans. Take active control of the agenda on our terms.
When will Carney come to the conclusion that Doug Ford is right? The only thing a bully understands and reacts to (i.e. backs down) is equal force. Weakness and inability to stand up only provokes more violence.

If Canada's economy collapses, let's start fighting. Shut down or impose strict export controls on everything Trump claims he doesn't need – steel, aluminum, critical minerals, cut off power – the list goes on. Would it really make a big difference if our industries and manufacturers disappeared due to tariff costs or a halt in sales and exports? No. Business closures and unemployment are the same result, so why don't we respond with our own initiatives rather than wait for the more inevitable, inconsistent and one-sided Trump insanity?

VOTE FOR REAL CHANGE
The US has stopped all trade negotiations with Canada. Blame can be placed, but it does not lie on Donald Trump, as our mainstream media will spin it, but on the shoulders of Prime Minister Mark Carney and Prime Minister Doug Ford.

Keep this in mind when it's time to vote! We can't change what's happening in the United States, but we sure as hell can do something about our leadership on this side of the border.
It's time for Canadians to have the courage to vote for real change.
