The answer, of course, is that he is Mark Carney. He may look and sound like a banker, but he is the global elite in charge of Canada's piggy bank, and heaven help us all.
Can you imagine some banker lending you more money while you are literally choking on the interest on your existing debt, while simultaneously refusing to use our natural resources to cover expenses instead of borrowing?
To be honest, I thought it might be different from its predecessor; unfortunately they are too similar.
The camel's legs were already shaking and he just threw a couple hundred more pounds of straw at him, so wait because he's getting closer.

TAXPAYERS PAY, NOT GOVERNMENTS

I wonder if anyone actually thinks about the claims that a certain level of government pays for this or that? In the article above, all three levels of government are mentioned as “commitments” to the World Cup.
First, none of these tiers pay anything. We, as taxpayers, pay taxes to all three levels of government. No government pays for anything; It is taxpayers who are responsible for meeting all three of these obligations.
The government pays nothing, the taxpayer pays. The government doesn't own anything, it belongs to the taxpayer. Having said all this, it is time for taxpayers to get their money's worth and demand accountability at every level.

NEED MORE LIKE JACQUES
We need more people like Jason Jacques. He is honest and thinks about Canadians (not himself). We don't need tact. We cannot afford such a government. Mr. Jacques should be appointed as the long-term parliamentary budget specialist.

JACQUES IS VERY NEEDED
We don't need a see-nothing, no-say-nothing parliamentary budget officer appointed by the Liberals because transparency is already lacking. Jason Jacques appears to be cut from the same cloth as Yves Giroud, and he is sorely needed in this position. All opposition parties should demand his appointment to a permanent position.
We cannot afford to leave this man on the sidelines. He is such a fresh and active advocate for accountability.
Let's hope other parties understand the consequences of not having him in that role.
