Re: LILLY: Even though Poilievre is clutching his pearls, he's right about the RCMP, online, October 17.

I completely agree with Pierre Poilevre's comments regarding the RCMP (when he called the RCMP leadership despicable and accused them of covering up for Justin Trudeau), but of course the Liberals despise when their failures and scandals are exposed.

The RCMP has lost a lot of respect, trust and integrity over the last 10+ years. They have long since lost the focus of their mandate.

Pierre simply said out loud what many jaded Canadians are thinking, and I applaud him for telling the truth, hence the “outrage” from Liberal MPs.

There needs to be a major shake-up in the senior ranks of the RCMP, and until that happens there will be no return to what was once a respected institution.

CAMERAS DO CONTAIN TAX CAPTURE

I completely agree that these speed cameras are a tax collector. Why are they not turned off after 4:00 pm on weekdays, weekends, and during the summer months when school is not in session?

Speed bumps are just as effective at reducing speed. Also, why isn't the speed limit increased to 50 km/h outside of school zones so people can get where they want to go?

BREAK THE CONFETTI, BLUE JAYS

Now that the Toronto Blue Jays have jumped into the World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers and the cold weather has arrived in Canada, perhaps the Blue Jays shouldn't throw ice buckets on a player's head in home games or they just might end up with Rockin' Pneumonia and the Blue Jays Boogie Woogie Flu. May I suggest a bucket of confetti?
