Taxpayers won't know the value of the landfill proposal until the deal is done? This certainly raises some red flags.

Why a non-disclosure agreement? Even if we were given details of the proposal, nothing the municipal, provincial or federal governments do ever makes it to budget or on time, and decisions are delayed too long and then rushed. We are stuck in a bill due to tax increases and, more recently (think LRT), something that is substandard at best. Too often, unelected “city staff” make recommendations, which raises even more red flags for me.

Instead of spending hundreds of millions on Lansdowne 2.0, how about the city focuses on solving this landfill problem once and for all? We've spent enough tax dollars – think about a new library. The problem of garbage has been talked about for several decades. I swear to God, the Trail Road landfill hasn't been filled for 10 years, at least 30 years.

WHO CARES? NOT CARNEY

Re: LILLY: Carney says, “Who cares?” on talking to Trump as tariffs hit Canadian workers, online November 24.

Prime Minister Mark Carney likes to hop around the world and also focus on his zero fantasy.

When asked when he last spoke to US President Donald Trump, his arrogant response was: “Who cares?” As long as his green agenda and investments benefit him even as Canadians get poorer, who cares? More and more people are becoming homeless and relying on food banks, but who cares?

Recent comments by US Vice President J.D. Vance's thoughts on Canada were correct. The stagnation of living standards in Canada has nothing to do with Donald Trump. It's all about liberal politics.

TELL RUSSIA TO CALM DOWN

Can someone finally tell Russia to calm down with territorial expansionism because the largest country on Earth stole Crimea from Ukraine in 2014? The civilized world swallowed this shameful act and does not want further territorial (and not only territorial) demands of Goliath on David. Enough!
