According to the editorial above, as of 2023, the federal Liberals have spent over $200 billion on their pointless climate change plan. This is despite the fact that Canada emits only about 1.6 percent of the world's greenhouse gases.

So even if we collapse our economy and significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions, it will have a nominal impact on climate change.

One can only imagine what this wasted $200 billion could have accomplished if it had been invested in something useful, like healthcare or homelessness.

SO CLOSE, BUT SO FAR

What a great breakthrough the federal Liberals got when Premier Doug Ford upset US President Donald Trump. After this happened, they quickly declared: “We were so close to dealing with Trump.”

What a joke. After Mark Carney stole all of the Conservative plans to begin to repair the damage Justin Trudeau and his Liberals did to our once great country, the Liberals have largely failed to implement them all.

Do you still believe those Canadians who voted for Carney because he told you he was the only one who could handle Trump?

THE BEST THING WE HAVE?

In a country of over 41 million people, I don't understand why the best anthem singers at the World Series in Canada were Rufus Wainwright and JP Sachs.

I have absolutely no doubt that you could go to any elementary or high school in Canada, or better yet, any Pentecostal church, and find someone who could sing “O Canada” better than both of them.

SING AS WRITTEN

Why, oh why, do the mediocre singers chosen to sing this country's amazing national anthem feel the need to change the lyrics, change the notes and change the tempo in order to make a statement for themselves and, presumably, their adoring fans.

I don't care if Elvis comes back from the dead and gets the honor; just sing it as it was written.

NOT TOO CONFIDENT?

Liberals in the House of Representatives continue to accuse the opposition of wanting to trigger a Christmas election. What baffles me is that they don't think the election will benefit them.

Are they not confident that their record will give them the majority to which they are entitled?
