Tickets for Olivia Dean's North America Tour 2026 behind The art of loving went on sale this week – and as expected, they went on sale fast. All remaining stock from various pre-sales was made available to the general public this morning and sold out within minutes.
Some resellers are already trying to charge thousands of dollars, but Dean doesn't have that. In her Instagram Story, the singer-songwriter criticized Ticketmaster, Live Nation and AEG Presents for “providing disgusting service.”
“The prices at which you allow tickets to be resold [are] disgusting and completely against our wishes,” Dean wrote. “Live music needs to be accessible and accessible, and we need to find a new way to make that possible. BE BETTER.”
Crisis PR specialists at Ticketmaster shared her post on their Instagram story, adding: “We support artists' ability to set the terms and conditions for the sale and resale of their tickets. @oliviadeano, we will limit resale prices on our site to face value and hope other resale sites will follow suit.”
“I'm sorry that there seems to be a problem with ticket resale and pricing. My team is currently working on this,” Dean said, addressing her fans in a separate post. “It's very frustrating because the last thing I want is for anyone to get scammed or overcharged for our show. Please be careful when purchasing tickets in the comment sections as it is likely a scam.”
Last month, Ticketmaster and Live Nation announced that they would introducing new policy changes to block resellers. Soon after this, Ontario Premier Doug Ford has decided that Ticketmaster is “fraudping people” based on its exorbitant resale prices for World Series tickets. despite the fact that in 2019 he literally repealed a bill that would have prohibited resale at more than 50 percent above face value.
After the failure of last year's Oasis reunion tour, UK government tightens resale practices this week to prohibit individuals and secondary market platforms from selling tickets at more than the original price (in the latter case, the addition of a commission is allowed).
