The MLB Winter Meetings are just around the corner. For those unfamiliar, it is a four-day event that will feature representatives from all 30 teams.

Representatives talk about everything from what the open market looks like, their needs, and their assessment of the trading market. Many steps are expected to be taken by the time meetings begin on December 8th.
Don't be surprised if some teams decide to part ways with some of their top prospects. Last year at this time Chicago Cubs decided to part with their No. 7 prospect and several others to acquire Kyle Tucker, who is now a free agent.

New York Yankees They are expected to be very busy over the next few months. They would like to keep Cody Bellinger and need to bring in some arms to help bolster the early starting rotation and bullpen.

The Bronx Bombers do have a top prospect in Carlos LaGrange, but he is still working his way through the minors. He's still trying to develop a crucial third pitch before being called upon.
However, with his high upside potential, he could be seen as a great piece for a potential trade. Joel Reiter of Bleacher Report believes fans will want to follow him during the winter meetings.
“The Yankees have not been shy about selling their best pitchers at high prices in recent years, and with shortstop George Lombard Jr. almost certainly untouchable, it makes sense that teams would target one of LaGrange, Elmer Rodriguez or Bryce Cunningham as the centerpiece in a major deal.”
Perhaps the combination of Lagrange and someone else will be enough to keep Tarik Skubal safe if Detroit Tigers make it available for the winter. Or a smaller package could bring in MacKenzie Gore, another starter who could hold down the rotation until Gerrit Cole and Carlos Rodon return.
