“Our recent Game Pass update remains unchanged. Current subscribers in some countries will continue to be updated at the current price at the moment, in accordance with local requirements, ”said the head of the Xbox Communications, Kari Perez. “We will provide a preliminary notification before price adjustments enter into force in these countries.”
Perez clarified the situation after some existing Xbox Game Pass participants in such markets as Germany, Ireland, South Korea, Poland, and India received emails to confirm that they would not be asked to pay more.
“At present, this increase will only affect new purchases and will not affect your current subscription to the market in which you live if you are on an auto-like plan,” the email says. “If you decide to cancel your plan and ransom, you will be charged with a new current bet.”
Microsoft confirmed that those who are on automotive racks in the relevant markets will be warned of raising prices “at least 60 days”.
However, in other regions they will be forced to pay more when their next billing cycle begins, which, according to Microsoft, will probably be from November 4, 2025.
