WWE Crown Jewel 2025 predictions, expert picks, card time, date

WWE Crown Jewel will take place outside of Saudi Arabia on Saturday for the first time since it took place. This year's event will take place in Perth, Australia, although it will follow the same format as last year's Crown Jewel.

That means two main event matches featuring top WWE champions. On the men's side, WWE Undisputed Champion Cody Rhodes will take on World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. On the women's side, world champion Ayo Sky will face WWE women's champion Tiffany Stratton. The winners of these matches will win the Crown Jewel Ceremonial Championship, taking home a ring for their victory.

Additionally, John Cena returns for one of his final appearances as he takes on AJ Styles as the two revisit one of the promotion's biggest rivalries of the 2010s. Cena has been out of action since Wrestlepalooza and has only a handful of appearances scheduled before the end of the year, when he is expected to retire. Meanwhile, Styles recently said he plans to retire by the end of 2026.

Additionally, Roman Reigns returns to the PPV card when he takes on Bronson Reed in Australian Street Fight. And Asuka and Kairi Sane are going to team up and fight Ayo Sky and Rhea Ripley.

John Cena admits his WWE run was a bust: 'I went out there and blew up'

With so many big matches scheduled for the event, let's take a look at what CBS Sports pro wrestling experts think will happen when the action ends in Perth.

WWE Crown Jewel Predictions for 2025

Men's Crown Jewel Championship — Cody Rhodes vs. Seth Rollins: The crown jewel clause is specifically designed to make Rhodes lose. It's meaningless in the grand scheme of things. Rhodes cemented himself as the top heel by defeating Rollins multiple times upon his return to WWE. It's time for Rollins to tackle The American Nightmare. On Raw, CM Punk teased that he respected Rhodes too much to be involved in his business, suggesting that The Vision's numbers game might get the better of the son of a plumber. Pick: Seth Rollins wins — Shakiel Majuri

I may be leaning too much towards what will be the most interesting rather than what WWE is most likely to do. Interestingly, Rhodes has Rollins' number and causes a crisis of confidence for The Vision's leader; Rollins win with help from Bronson Reed and Bron Breaker – no. Likewise, Rollins winning on his own doesn't have much impact on how The Vision's story plays out. Paul Heyman has already sent Rollins a message that a loss is unacceptable and will make him question his decision to back Rollins over Roman Reigns. Will Breaker be content to stand behind a man who can't get the job done against Rhodes? The most interesting option is for Rhodes to win, so that's what WWE should do. Pick: Cody Rhodes wins — Brent Brookhouse

Women's Gemstone Championship — Tiffany Stratton vs. Stephanie Wacker: Wacker is a new champion who needs to continue to build his profile as a main event star. Stratton has done well for her title, so a loss won't hurt as much as it would for Wacker. This leads to some pretty simple math that just says give Wacker the win. Pick: Stephanie Wacker def. — Brookhouse (also Majuri)

John Price vs Eye Styles: Cena vs. Styles is the most worthy match of the farewell tour, requiring minimal storyline building. They played amazingly good matches at the height of their rivalry. This is enough to guarantee the last tango. It's a shame that much of Cena's retirement tour was left unfinished. Cena's loss to Brock Lesnar at Wrestlepalooza really disheartened fans. It is unlikely that he will suffer another clean loss as his final match quickly approaches. Styles, who recently said he will retire next year, won't gain much by beating Cena. All anyone wants to see is another compelling exit from one of the most surprising feuds in WWE history. Pick: John Cena will win — Majuri (also Brookhouse)

Roman Reigns vs Bronson Reed: Reigns' matches are so rare that the results are fairly predictable. Reed was always there to give Reigns someone he could beat to keep him in the title picture without actually being there. It's hard to imagine Reed getting the better of Reigns. What purpose will this serve? Set up a third Reigns vs. Reed match? This doesn't seem like a good way to use Reigns to move forward. This should mean a win for Reigns so he can move on to Breaker. Pick: Roman Reigns def. — Brookhouse (also Majuri)

Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky vs. Kabuki Warriors (Asuka and Kairi Sane): Ripley and Sky are bigger stars than The Kabuki Warriors. Simple and clear. It doesn't look like WWE has any long-term plans for the villainous duo, at least not enough to give them a win over two of the biggest stars in the women's division. This match is mostly an opportunity to expose Ripley to her home fans. Expect 'Mami' to deliver a big win for her fellow Australians. Pick: Rhea Ripley and Ayo Sky win — Majuri (also Brookhouse)
