Major absences for the Lions ahead of the match against DR Congo
Topping the list of absentees is goalkeeper Andre Onana, who is suffering from ankle pain and whose participation in the match remains in doubt.
Also missing are Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting, the New York Red Bulls forward, and Andre-Frank Zambo Anguissa, the Napoli midfielder, both out with injuries. A medical examination revealed Choupo-Moting had a sprained knee, while Zambo Anguissa was forced to stop training due to a muscle strain in his leg.
Let's not forget that the Indomitable Lions will face the Democratic Republic of Congo tomorrow, Thursday, in Rabat, Morocco in the semi-finals of the African Playoffs, after qualifying as one of the top runners-up in the African qualifying group stage.
