VMEMusic for Visual Media and Allegro Talent Group merged to form the Film and Music Television division.
Allegro is a boutique agency founded in 2012 by Patty McMillan, specializing in the representation of composers and music executives. Together, WME and Allegro will bring together a strong lineup of multi-disciplinary composers, many of whom are also successful in touring, producing, songwriting and directing.
McMillan and agent Lauren Kahler will join WME and continue to represent their existing clients while pursuing new opportunities in film, television, gaming, live action and beyond through WME's cross-departmental collaboration. WME partner Bradley Rainey will continue to lead WME's music for visual media department.
“Allegro has earned a reputation for deep artistic integrity and a truly personalized approach to client development,” said Rainey. “Their lineup is world-class and forward-thinking, and they represent artists whose work is redefining how music drives storytelling. Together, we look forward to creating expanded opportunities for growth in film, television, gaming and new platforms.”
McMillan said: “From the very beginning, our agency has been focused on meaningful relationships, creative trust and long-term career guidance.” She added: “WME shares these values, and this partnership allows us to strengthen our foundation by offering customers the scale and reach of a global powerhouse.”
Together, WME and Allegro represented the top six Oscar winners of the last 7 years. Allegro's clients include Hildur Guðnadóttir (Joker), Volker Bertelmann (All Quiet on the Western Front), Clement Ducole and Camille (Emilia Perez), Dustin O'Halloran (Eleanor the Great) and Natalie Holt (Loki). They will join the WME lineup, including Trent Reznor, Atticus Ross, Ludwig Göransson, Jonny Greenwood, Max Richter and Micah Levy.
