The Winnipeg Blue Bombers announced a sold-out regular-season finale against the Montreal Alouettes on Saturday, making franchise history.
The Bombers have already sold out the Princess Auto Stadium for all nine home games this season – a feat that has never been achieved in the 95 years since the club was founded. Their streak of consecutive sold-out games now stretches back to 14 games, dating back to August 1 last year.
“Thank you, Bomber fans, for 14 straight sold-out games. Your passion, dedication and energy make Princess Auto Stadium the best environment in Canadian sports,” President and CEO Wade Miller said in a statement. “Together, we made Blue Bomber history by selling out the entire regular season.”
Winnipeg will lead the CFL in attendance for the fourth straight season and has seen steady growth over that period. It began in 2022 with an average attendance of 28,641, followed by 30,449 in 2023. Last season they attracted 31,196 spectators per game, and in 2025 their average capacity will be 32,343.
Since 2018, the Bombers have hosted crowds of more than 30,000 33 times. The next closest team, the Saskatchewan Roughriders, have done it just 21 times. Four CFL teams—Ottawa, Montreal, Hamilton and Toronto—have stadiums that cannot accommodate that many people.
The increase in attendance in Winnipeg was fueled by the team's unprecedented success on the field, as they made five straight Gray Cup appearances. This year was their lowest since winning back-to-back titles in 2019 and 2021, but the Bombers still secured a playoff spot. It remains to be seen how they will be sown.
The Blue Bombers can finish no higher than third in the West Division standings and no lower than fourth, which would allow them to advance to the East Division as the third seed. Either way, they won't play at home again unless they make it to the 112th Gray Cup, which is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 16 at Princess Auto Stadium.
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers (9-8) host the Montreal Alouettes (10-7) on Saturday, October 25, with kickoff scheduled for 3:00 pm ET. The Alouettes are coming off back-to-back wins over the Ottawa Redblacks.Bye The Blue Bombers pulled off an upset win over the depleted Saskatchewan Roughriders..
The weather forecast for Winnipeg calls for temperatures of up to 16 degrees and sunny skies. The game will be broadcast on TSN, RDS and CTV in Canada and CFL+ worldwide. Radio listeners can tune in to TSN 690 in Montreal and 680 CJOB in Winnipeg.
