Irving was combating foot and shoulder injuries — the latter is a bigger issue — and he hasn't played in a game since Week Four.
It was initially believed that Irving would only miss a handful of contests, especially after he was not placed on injured reserve. However, Irving's absence now extended to six games.
Here's what we know about Irving's chances of returning in Week 12.

END OF UPDATE
There appears to be a chance Irving will play on Sunday against Los Angeles Rams.
This is based on the fact that Irving is back in training last week before he was finally eliminated. Irving played in three limited sessions, his first practice since the injury.
“I'm very pleased with it,” head coach Todd Bowles said Friday of the status of Irving and wide receiver Chris Godwin. “We'll see next week.
“There is a process they need to go through, but they run well and move well. So we'll go through that process and make sure they're 100 percent ready before they come out.”

Bowles mentioned that Irving needs to prove he can take a hit to the shoulder before he will be allowed to return. We're guessing the Bucs will test that out this week.
We'll get our next update on Wednesday when the Bucs release their first injury report for Week 12.
If Irving misses another game, the Bucs will have an interesting decision to make at running back.
Rachaad White has been Tampa Bay's leading back, but Sean Tucker has played better in recent weeks, including in Week 11 when Tucker had 106 yards and two scores on 19 carries and 34 yards and another touchdown on two catches.
Meanwhile, White had 10 carries for 51 yards and two catches for 11 yards.

For now, it looks like Tucker is taking over the lead guard duties going forward.
