‘Wild Wild West’ Trucking Industry Hits ‘Find Out’ Stage As DOT Cracks Down on Illegal Alien Drivers – RedState

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy said Monday that the trucking industry's “Wild Wild West days are over” amid the Trump administration's crackdown on illegal alien drivers.

In a post on X, Duffy responded to an Associated Press report that said, “URGENT: Nearly 44% of U.S. truck driving schools could close after a federal audit found many may not be following state rules.”

“Huge warning: The U.S. Department of Transportation is giving thousands of driving schools 30 days to comply with federal driver regulations or they may be forced to close,” Duffy said in a statement.

“Under the Trump administration, the days of the ‘Wild Wild West’ of trucking are over,” he added.

Secretary Duffy's reaction was the complete opposite of the AP story, which appeared to deplore the closure of trucking schools because President Donald Trump and his administration are determined to make our roads safer rather than continue to allow people who cannot read English or understand our road signs to obtain commercial licenses.

Here's a little from there review by AP:

Nearly 44% of the 16,000 truck driving schools in the US could be forced to close if they lose their students after a federal Department of Transportation audit found they may not be meeting government requirements.

The Transportation Department said Monday it plans to revoke the certification of nearly 3,000 schools if they fail to meet training requirements within the next 30 days. Targeted schools must notify students that their certification is at risk. A further 4,500 schools have been warned they could face similar action.

“We will curb the illegal and reckless practice that allows poorly trained drivers to get behind the wheel of semi-trucks and school buses,” Duffy wrote in his op-ed. statement published to the DOT website.

President Trump has tried to clean up the mess after the deadly consequences of former President Joe Biden's open border policies on illegal aliens during his time in office, and this is just another case.

And it's infuriating because it leads to terrible accidents and the death of innocent people as a result of illegal aliens driving trucks that shouldn't exist.

It's really simple: follow our rules or you'll lose your ability to run your business. Period.
