Whoopi Goldberg Slams Donald Trump for Rob Reiner Death Post

Whoopi Goldberg and her fellow presenters on “View» condemned Donald Trump due to his controversial reaction to his tragic death Rob Reinerlegendary actor and director who died aged 78 along with his wife in an apparent murder. Trump reacted to the news stating that Reiner's death was “due to the anger he caused others” with his outspoken anti-Trump remarks (also known as the “Trump Mental Illness System,” as the president likes to call it). Reiner's son, Nick, was arrested and taken into custody due to the death of his parents.

When “The View” co-host Sunny Hostin began reading Trump's reaction to Reiner's death on air, Goldberg intervened and told her to stop, saying, “Don't read it, just tell them it's there.” Hostin said of the post, “I don't think we should hear about it.”

Ana Navarro then slammed Trump's response, saying, “For Trump to say this today, I will say this: You know what the hell, an American family is grieving. It's a tragedy, not just for the family, but for everyone who knew and loved him, and for the President of the United States to make this about him as a way to attack Rob Reiner because he exercised his American right to say something he doesn't agree with, it's a tragedy. It's disgraceful. And of all disgusting things that Donald Trump has done, it's right there.”

Trump made his statement about Reiner in a post on his Truth Social profile. The President wrote: “Last night a very sad event occurred in Hollywood. Rob Reiner, a tortured and struggling but once very talented film director and comedy star, passed away with his wife Michelle, reportedly due to the anger he caused in others with his huge, unrelenting and incurable illness, a mind-paralyzing disease known as TRUMP SYNDROME, sometimes called TDS. He was known to drive people crazy. Because of his raging obsession with President Donald J. Trump, his apparent paranoia reaches new heights as the Trump Administration has exceeded all goals and expectations of greatness, and as America's Golden Age dawns perhaps like never before, may Rob and Michelle rest in peace!

Reiner directed Goldberg in the 1996 drama film “Ghosts of Mississippi” and praised him as “an outspoken activist and a real guy, an absolutely amazing person.”

Nick Rayner, the 32-year-old son of the late director, has been detained on suspicion of murdering the director and his wife. His bail is set at $4 million.
