Since her birth in 1959Barbie has held more than 200 jobs, from big sister to chef to entrepreneur. Since his birth (apparently) in 1988, Republican Rep. George Santos has had more than a dozen (alleged) titles and careers. When Santos launched his 2021 campaign for U.S. Representative in New York's 3rd Congressional District, he provided a wealth of biographical detail: that his mother survived the September 11 attacks and that his company “lost four employeesin the shooting at the Pulse nightclub. Although there is no evidence according to any Santos claim since then doubled on both statements. But after he won the election, the New York Times found that his resume was full of embellishments and false statements, setting off a series of investigations by the House Ethics Committee. Santos admitted to some things, such as his previous marriage to a woman (despite the fact that he said he was gay) and his statements that he was Jewish (later clarified that he Jew-exit).
According to survey From a Siena College statement released in February, 78% of Santos voters believe he should resign. Some of it members formed a group urged concerned citizens of New York-03 to campaign for his removal from office. And in February, some of them went to Capitol Hill to demand he will be expelled.
Meanwhile, the wild stories about Santos keep coming. Latest: FBI and Other State and Federal Authorities reportedly being investigated the deal to purchase the 141-foot superyacht was allegedly brokered by Santos, although it is unclear whether any laws were broken.
In February interview Along with Piers Morgan, Santos described himself as the subject of “desperate journalism” but also called himself a “terrible liar” and asked the public for forgiveness. “What I was trying to convey to the American people was that I made a mistake in allowing pressure to be put on something that I thought needed to be done. It wasn't about deceiving anyone. … It was about being accepted by the party here at the local level.”
Despite ongoing investigations, Republicans supporting Santos have remained largely silent about what his alleged resume says, with the exception of Republican Sen. Mitt Romney, who called on him to resign this year. Santos told Morgan it wasn't the first time someone told him to shut up, and it wouldn't be the last.
None of the alleged lies, investigations or calls for his resignation are stopping him – on Tuesday, March 14, Santos submitted documents up for re-election in 2024. He's in good company because Barbie ran her own campaign. in the last few elections, leading many to believe she will run for president in 2024.
