VN Heaven is pleased to announce the release of the Whispers of the Luminaries demo, now available on Steam. Inspired by Danganronpa And Famicom Detective ClubThis upcoming idol-themed mystery visual novel takes players into the sophisticated yet unforgiving world of the idol industry, where a rising star has disappeared under suspicious circumstances.
Whispers of the Luminaries combines the glamor of the stage with a dark investigative narrative. Players take on the role of a detective uncovering the truth behind a disappearance as they navigate a world shaped by ambition, rivalry, and closely guarded secrets. Under the bright lights and carefully maintained public image, ulterior motives and personal struggles drive the mystery forward.
The demo introduces the core gameplay loop, combining hands-on detective work with character-driven storytelling. Players gather evidence by interrogating suspects, asking targeted questions, and examining crime scenes. They then use the collected evidence to solve deduction-based puzzles that reward careful observation and logical thinking.
In addition to investigations, players can spend time in free time activities using the world map and visiting various locations. These moments allow players to interact with other characters, upgrade key stats, and learn more about idols outside the spotlight. The player's choices directly impact friendships and romantic relationships, adding emotional weight to every interaction. Players can also continue working on a case from the detective's office, choosing which leads to pursue and directing the investigation.
The Whispers of the Luminaries demo is available now on Steam and offers approximately two hours of gameplay. VN Heaven also looks forward to sharing more updates as it develops.
