Call of Duty Grinders, the wait for competitive play is a little longer, but it's on its way.
Ranked game in Black Opera 7 isn't available at launch, but it'll be there before you know it. When it arrives, multiplayer players will have all sorts of ranks and rewards to earn as they level up and climb the competitive ladder.
Here's everything we know about ranked play in BO7including when to expect it.
When will the BO7 ranked game be released?
According to Treyarch and Activision, the rated game will be available within second season BO7. The start date for Season 2 has not yet been determined, but according to the in-game countdown timer for the Season 1 Battle Pass, it will should be February 5, 2026.
CoD seasons last about two months, and the first season began on December 4, 2025. While February 5th is not set in stone, it is a likely date along with February 12th or even February 19th, depending on whether it is postponed or not (which, unfortunately, is always a possibility). When this season begins, ranked games will also be played along with it.
The second season will also bring everything that CoD players expect seasonal loot such as new weapons, new maps, new zombie experiences, new war zone modes and even updates for PvE Endgame activity. But ranked play is where hardcore players will have to be flexible.
More about Ranked Play will be revealed in January 2026, but for now players can expect more of the same from Ranked Play as seen in previous games such as Black Opera 6 And Modern Warfare IIIincluding:
- Multiple ranks and skill divisions to complete.
- Call of Duty League inspired ruleset, modes and maps
- Exclusive rewards such as camos and player cards every season.
- Plus more
Stay tuned for more official information from Activision sometime after the holiday season on when to expect a second season of the series. BO7 and everything that goes into it.
