What to know about the Amazon cloud computing outage – Chicago Tribune

A federal judge in Chicago is questioning a pair of immigration officers today. about law enforcement tactics used by the Trump administration during the ongoing Operation Midway Blitz, which allegedly violated the restraining order it issued earlier this month.

U.S. District Judge Sarah Ellis said last week that she was “deeply concerned” that immigration agents were violating her orders to limit the use of tear gas on the media and protesters, and advised the Justice Department to force officials with knowledge of the operation to appear before her and answer questions.

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson sues Trump over threat to cut emergency funding

The city's federal lawsuit, filed today, alleges that the Department of Homeland Security tied long-standing funding for cybersecurity equipment, hazmat suits, first responder salaries and more to “unlawful conditions” that outlaw the city's “diversity, equity and inclusion” efforts. Amazon cloud shutdown disrupts McDonald's app, Snapchat and many other online services

An issue in Amazon's cloud computing service disrupted internet use around the world early this morning, knocking out dozens of online services including social media site Snapchat, video games Roblox and Fortnite, and chat app Signal.Read more here.

The Chicago Blackhawks beat former coach Joel Quenneville's Anaheim Ducks, with Ryan Donato scoring in overtime.
