The Ashes of the Damned map has many secrets, and one of them involves solving the Spore Plant Easter egg in Black Ops 7 Zombies.
You'll encounter this Easter egg fairly early on after you reach Vandoorne Farm or Blackwater Lake. In both places you'll find a Fumigator, and this quick guide will help you become a gardener (of sorts) in Ashes of the Damned.
How to get a Fumigator in Black Ops 7 Zombies
A fumigator is a container for filtering water necessary for enriching essential plants. You don't need to add water as they seem to have everything on their own. I found my first one at Vandoorne Farm, but they are everywhere.
For your convenience, I have marked the locations where they can be found at Blackwater Lake and Vandoorne Farm. However, you can also pick them up at other locations if you missed them at previous locations.
At Vandoorne Farm, you can pick it up in two places: in the workshop (near the mystery box) and on the first floor of the barn (near the upper left corner).
On Blackwater Lake you can get it from the house (to the left of the main cabin).
By the way, you will also find a fumigator in the Janus Towers Plaza location. Look for it near the generator (next to where you spawn at the beginning of a new round). I accidentally skipped it while running, but I think it's the fastest option.
How to Complete the Ashes of the Cursed Spore Plant Easter Egg
Once you find the Fumigator, the rest of the quest is easy. You will come across buds of a spore plant, like in the screenshot below. Use a fumigator on them and the plant will begin to grow. Its noise will attract nearby zombies and they will attack the plant.
You will have to protect the plant until its growth phase is complete. Interact with the plant to receive rewards and additional essence. The loot you receive will be completely random, but it can prove invaluable to surviving among the undead.
