Stranger Things fans have been eagerly awaiting a new batch of episodes for the fifth and final season of the Netflix sci-fi series, and they will be released on December 25th, Christmas Day.
After a grueling three-year wait for the hit show Rreturned to Netflix on November 26th. when the first four episodes of the fifth season were released. And what episodes they were!
The first part of the fifth season, which Netflix dubbed Vol. 1saw a gang from Hawkins, Indiana embark on a terrifying journey back to the Upside Down. And, let's just say, all hell broke loose.
Now the hit Netflix series created by twin brothers Matt and Ross Duffer is set to release three more episodes titled Vol. 2.
A few key things to remember in Episodes 1 through 4: During a brutal fight with an army of Demogorgons, Will (Noah Schnapp) learned that he could use his bizarre connection with the evil Vecna (Jamie Campbell Bower) to harness Vecna's power. This is a good thing, since Vecna will have to steal a dozen children from Hawkins to further his evil plan to dominate the world.
While in a coma, Max (Sadie Sink) was a prisoner of Vecna's mind. But she was hiding in a cave that Vecna could not enter. After Mike and Nancy's little sister, Holly (Nell Fisher), falls under Vecna's spell, Max rescues her and takes her to the cave.
Additionally, Hawkins is in military quarantine, run by fearsome military scientist Dr. Kay (Linda Hamilton), who is hell-bent on finding Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown).
What else? Hopper (David Harbour) has escaped from a Russian labor camp. Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) is grieving the death of his Dungeons & Dragons buddy Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn). Nancy (Natalia Dyer), Steve (Joe Keery) and Jonathan (Charlie Heaton) are in a love triangle, and Robin (Maya Hawke) has a girlfriend. Oh, and Hawkins' moms Joyce (Winona Ryder) and Karen Byers (Cara Buono) are badasses!
