Don't look directly at Heidi Klum's 2025 Halloween costume.
The 52-year-old supermodel's love for Halloween is as legendary as it gets. her elaborate costumeswhich she reveals every year at her star-studded Halloween party in New York.
This year, Klum went unrecognizable again by transforming herself into Medusa, a figure from Greek myth who has snakes for hair. She is known for being so disgusting that anyone who sees her turns to stone.
Heidi's costume included a prosthetic forked tongue and artificial snakes moving across her head. Her face and body were covered in scales, and she wore bright green contact lenses.
“HAPPY HEIDWIN 🐍Don't look too long or you'll turn to stone 🖤 #HeidiHalloween,” she captioned the photo on Instagram.
On red carpethusband Tom Kaulitz accompanied her as one of Medusa's victims: a stone figure.
Following tradition, Klum remained silent about her costume until the big reveal, although she told people this week will not be very pleasant.
“I'll be really ugly because I'm always trying to do something different,” she said. “I thought I was really sweet to my husband as E.T. last year. And the year before that we were big peacock with artists“
Navigating Klum and her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz's peacock costume together required an additional 15 people. She felt the need to create a more “complicated” costume, she told People magazine, because her creepy worm costume in 2022 “it seemed so easy.”
Klum added that she was looking to “do something new again” this year.
On October 31, Klum began dropping hints about her costume earlier in the day on Instagram, first sharing close-up photo her terrifying fangs. “Okay… let's get started,” she captioned the photo, adding a ghost and spider emoji.
Throughout the day, she continued to tease fans by showing photos of herself with pea-colored makeup on her face.
By the evening, Klum shared video the makeup artist applied a latex-like material to her face that resembled monstrous flesh. She followed this with close up video of her mouth as more fake green flesh was applied to her face.
Klum also shared a video of her and Kaulitz on her Instagram Story, showing the guitarist's typically dark mustache and beard flecked with gray.
Last year, Klum attended her annual Halloween party. dressed like an alien, the cute alien from Steven Spielberg's 1982 hit sci-fi film “Alien alien.”
Her costume was inspired by the makeup E.T. received from his young friend Gertie. role of Drew Barrymorewho was only 7 years old when “ET” came out. Just like in the film, Klum's alien wore a long blond wig, red lipstick, a black hat and scarf.
Kaulitz accompanied Klum to the party, dressed as an alien, without a wig, lipstick or human clothing.
Klum shared a behind-the-scenes video this week. on Instagram it shows how she and Kaulitz worked with costume designers to create the alien looks last year.
“I have sleepless nights on Halloween. You have no idea,” Klum says in voiceover at the beginning of the video. “I always hope that everything will work out.”
The video then shows Klum walking down a hallway to meet with Kaulitz and the costume designers. “It's Halloween, it's Halloween, it's Halloween!” she chants excitedly.
