One couple was noticeably absent during the meeting on Dancing with the Stars on Halloween night. Actress Elaine Hendrix and her partner Alan Bersten were not present at the October 28 show. “She got injured this morning at rehearsal. She's in the hospital right now getting checked out,” co-host Alfonso Ribeiro explained at the start of the show, along with a clip of Hendrix in visible pain while dancing. She was going to dance the Argentine tango to “Bad to the Bone.” However, rest assured Elainlan fans, they are both still competing. Bersten was in the studio with Ribeiro to give an update on his partner. “Elaine and I were dancing and all of a sudden she froze and said she couldn’t move or breathe and something had happened to her rib,” Bersten explained. “It felt like my muscles were clenched under my ribs,” Hendrix cried in the clip as she was taken to the hospital. Doctors allowed Hendrix to continue competing. The show then played footage of their morning rehearsal for the judges. The duo scored all eights, earning 32/40 for the week.
Hendricks took to Instagram to share a video of herself from the hospital and asked fans to support her to make it through next week. “Halloween is my favorite holiday and I’m devastated,” she shared heartbroken. “I was thrilled to share what we've been working so hard on, though you'll see a version of it. With your support, I'll be back in the ballroom next week. I don't need anything else.”
