Thursday night release The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills marked a sea change for Kyle Richards as she admitted she was in a relationship after separation from Maurico Umansky. Richards said she fell in love with “a man” who didn't want to be in the public eye. According to Richards, media speculation ultimately drove them apart. “When I'm in love with someone, I want to share it. I'm such an open person,” she said. “It doesn't mean the person I'm with now feels the same way. All the speculation, gossip and talk eventually put an end to it. I could weather the storm, but it's not for everyone.”
But who is this mysterious man? Who could it be? Bravoholics believe it's country star Morgan Wade who the dads linked Richards to. in 2023. At the time, Wade and Richards said they were “just friends.” They then staged a fake kiss in Wade's video. Wade then deleted all of his IG photos with Richards. So how friendly have they really become, and are we nosy little busybodies trying to piece it all together in hindsight? Let's unpack.
February 16, 2022: Kyle Richards posts his first real-life meeting with Morgan Wade. Richards says she stalked Wade on Instagram after listening to her music during a long road trip. “Today was the first time we met in person,” she wrote. “Some may think this is the most incredible friendship, but kinship knows no bounds 💞”
September 15, 2022: Richards attends the 2022 Americana Music Honors & Awards as Wade's guest. Per Page six, It's been a month since Wade broke up with Cady Cannon. Cannon said, “The only people who can talk about Morgan and Kyle's relationship or friendship, or whatever you want to call it – and to whatever extent it is – are Morgan and Kyle, and that's it.”
January 25, 2023: Wade posts a photo on IG of her sitting on Richards' lap on a private jet. It will become lede image every story about them from now until the heat death of the universe, even though the original post was eventually deleted by Wade.
July 2023: Kyle Richards and Mauricio Umansky are calling it quits, but say, “Any claims of divorce are untrue.” Rather, they just “had a difficult year. The most difficult year of our marriage.”
In the same month fans notice that Wade and Richards appear to have matching tattoos and silver rings.
August 10, 2023: Morgan Wade releases the music video “Fall in Love With Me,” in which Wade plays Richards' dream girl. They almost kiss, but not quite. At the time, the talk was that they were making fun of tabloid speculation. “We're Friends” Wade said People. “The Internet is a stupid place.”
December 6, 2023: On WWHL, Dorit Kemsley says Wade's friendship with Richards is interfering with Kyle's other relationships. “I feel like the closer she is to Morgan, the further away she is from me,” she told Andy Cohen.
November 2024: Wade will make his debut on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Richards tattoos her, drawing a small letter “K” on her arm. “You know what, no one else can say they got a tattoo from Kyle Richards,” she says.
January 10, 2024: IN ep. from ROBA, Richards asks his fellow Housewives if they've ever dated a woman. Dorit Kemsley spits.
February 2024: Wade deletes all of her Instagram photos except for a few promoting upcoming concerts she is scheduled to perform. Fans speculate that something went wrong with Richards, but Kyle says it's just a promo. “[She’s got new music] comes out,” Richards said. Page six. “For artists, this is a common thing. It doesn't mean anything.”
April 8, 2025: In season 14 The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, Andy Cohen addresses “she who shall not be named,” i.e.: Wade. Throughout the season, Richards refrained from even naming her ex-girlfriend, despite Wade having appeared in the previous season. “I got her into it,” Richards said of Wade. “And I feel guilty about it because it makes her anxious and she doesn't want to be a part of it.”
December 11, 2025: In the second episode ROBA In season 15, Richards opens up about her previous relationship with a “person” she will not identify going forward. “I was in a relationship. I was in a very vulnerable place in my life and I fell deeply in love with this man,” she said. “I'm in love with someone, I want to share it. I don't care, I'm such an open person. But that doesn't mean the person I'm with now feels the same way.” On WWHL That same night, Dorit Kemsley left another hint about the man's identity: “By the way, she's a public figure.”
