Waymo
Drives through a police standoff in Los Angeles

If self-driving cars are the future, we might see a lot more of this… A Waymo swerved left and crashed into the middle of a police standoff… and it's all on video.
A viral video going viral on social media shows one of the taxi service's self-driving cars turning left in downtown Los Angeles… heading straight into the middle of some crossfire.
A Waymo and its passengers have just driven into the center of the confrontation.
There is no crossfire in his program – he guessed that the best option is to lie under fire

The problem is… the Waymo drives past a man who is lying face down on the ground next to a truck… while LAPD cars and officers line up behind him and shout commands.
Adding to the dramatic effect…an LAPD helicopter can be heard circling overhead…and the people filming the video chuckle at the lumbering Waymo driving into the eye of the storm.
A Waymo spokesperson told TMZ that the vehicle left the scene within seconds and the passengers inside arrived safely at their destination.
Waymo's rollout in Los Angeles hasn't been without some speed bumps… a car was pulled over in Beverly Hills for making an illegal turn, and Waymo suspended service this summer when cars were set on fire amid protests over immigration raids.
Plus we saw Waymous get stuck in a fast food drive-by and drive passengers in circles instead of taking them to the airport.
Horse and buggy, anyone?!?
