As we wrote on Friday, state and local Democrats in North Carolina began chattering wildly this week after word began to circulate that after making progress in rounding up criminal illegal aliens in Chicago, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) was preparing immigration operations to begin soon in Charlotte.
Some of the resistance came from city council members as well as the sheriff of Mecklenburg County, where Charlotte is located. But it was fear-mongering by one congresswoman and a state governor that caught the attention of Border Patrol Commander Gregory Bovino when they failed to recognize the difference between the words “immigrant” and “illegal alien.” He helped them with a tutorial on his X account.
“Immigrants, rest assured, we have your back, just like we did in Chicago and Los Angeles,” he wrote. “Representative Adams, perhaps you and Governor Stein should understand the difference between an illegal alien and an immigrant. Illegal aliens have NO PLACE in our communities and must self-deport through CBP Home.”
Now it's official. It's called “Operation Charlotte's Web,” according to a new DHS press release issued Saturday evening. Here are some of the criminals that the Border Patrol is hunting on the streets:

There is also a statement from the Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security. Trisha McLaughlin, as reported by Andy Weber of local Queen City News, added that there are already “numerous videos” on social media showing Border Patrol in action:

If you can't read the statement, it reads:
“Americans should be able to live without fear that violent criminal illegal aliens will harm them, their families, or their neighbors. We are deploying DHS law enforcement to Charlotte to keep Americans safe and address threats to public safety. There are too many victims of illegal criminals. President Trump and Secretary Noem will stand up for Americans when safe-haven politicians won’t.”

Let's watch some videos together:
Warning: The videos below contain strong language.
Here we see a dozen Border Patrol vehicles heading to Charlotte:

Unsurprisingly, the Democrats' intimidation tactics worked here as well, as the anti-ICE crowd made itself heard and seen:

In the video, a woman inside the nail salon can be heard saying the name of Jesus and then calling the officers “demons.” And people outside harass and swear at them while they are working:

Last but not least, here's Gregory Bovino in Charlotte, outreaching and helping Queen City residents when a woman demanded to know why agents were questioning people outside a grocery store. His answer is perfect!
Look:

Karen: “He was grocery shopping.”

Bovino: “Maybe. The criminals have a grocery store. They need to eat too.”
President Trump spoke in a new interview released Friday about how much the new president has changed, especially when it comes to securing borders and keeping Americans safe across the country:
