Wasteland Bites Serves Its Demo on Steam

Take some pieces of the wasteland

CosmicDev Developer and Publisher 2 thumbs of the left hand released a free demo of their upcoming game Wasteland Bites. The game brings an unusual twist to the survival horror genre, which is based on a food truck. Players take on the role of a wasteland chef, preparing strange dishes for even stranger clients in a world that has long since fallen apart. Between grilling questionable ingredients and fulfilling bizarre orders, survival becomes a balancing act between culinary chaos and the constant threat of monsters, mutants and other unspeakable horrors.

The game takes place in a series of deserted but vibrant locations. The game challenges players to keep their truck running while navigating the dangers of a destroyed world. Every stop has unpredictable customers, some people, some not, and every order pushes your stress levels to the limit. As night falls and strange sounds approach, the line between cooking and fighting for your life blurs. Upgrading your truck, managing your tools and being constantly vigilant become essential to survival.

Wasteland Bites combines fast-paced cooking mechanics with the tension of a survival horror game. This creates an experience that is equal parts tense and fun. Dark humor permeates every burnt patty and panicked scream, making every shift behind the counter feel like a fever dream of customer service gone wrong.

A free demo is now available on Steam with a major new update that expands content and performance. Wasteland Bites is scheduled for full release in the first quarter of 2026, giving players a chance to sharpen their knives and steel their nerves before the wasteland opens for business.
