Digital Extremes has just wrapped up one of Warframe's most exciting devstreams yet, revealing The Devil's Triad, a sinister new side story coming with the Old World update this December. Looks like he'll be one of the Warframe's Most Ambitious Additions nevertheless, linking together new proto-frames, a system of relationships and the descent into hell itself.
At the heart of the Devil's Triad are three cursed Protoframes – Marie Leroux of Wisp, Harrow's father Lyon Allard and newcomer Uriel, vice-regent of Grand Carnus Roath. Bound by the shadow of Albrecht Entrati, they take center stage in Warframe's first real exploration of emotional connection through an expanded romance and relationship system.
Their story takes place in Descendia, a nightmarish tower that moves weekly through the 21st floor of the labyrinth. Every seventh floor there is a confrontation with one of the Triad members, presenting a choice that shapes both the narrative and the reward.
The update also introduces incredible superpowers as part of the Focus School expansion, led by Unayru, as well as the new Honoria system for player titles and profile traits.
Meanwhile, the always elegant Gyre Prime joins the roster with a stunning new design, accompanied by a complete graphical remaster for Operations and Drifters, including next-gen visuals, updated models, and new customization options.
Digital Extremes even goes beyond the Origin System. The collaboration with Paizo resulted in Operation: Orias, a Starfinder x Warframe tabletop adventure available now on Paizo store window. In real news, TennoCon 2026 is officially confirmed for July 10-11 in London, Ontario, with public events starting in Australia early next year.
Android users please note: Warframe Closed Beta as the platform will open later in November. The darkness is coming, and the Diabolical Triad may be Warframe's boldest achievement yet.
