If there is one product that we see sell out very quickly during major shopping events such as Black Friday sales is Dyson Air packaging. This has been one of the most popular hair styling tools since the original was released in 2018.
The Airwrap has been updated over time with the 2022 update, the 2024 Airwrap ID and the 2025 Airwrap Co-anda 2x. Don't expect a price drop on the latter option, but if you really, really want the Airwrap, the Origin and id models will get a slight price cut directly from Dyson.
Airwrap Origin is the cheapest way to get yourself a Dyson multi-styler if you don't want to agree to such a scam as Shark FlexStyle or Dream to blindbut some of you may well be interested in the Airwrap ID
It's physically very similar to the Airwrap Origin, but comes in different color combinations and there's no power difference between the two generations. The Airwrap ID adds Bluetooth connectivity to operate the wrap switch. This launches a curling routine tailored to your hair and customizable via the companion app. It's a time-saving addition that can speed up your morning routine.
To justify the higher price, you also get a lot more attachments in the box than the Origin – a tapered barrel next to the standard 40mm barrel, an anti-snagging brush, a round volumizing brush, a smoothing brush, and a condenser. They are neatly hidden in a case that also contains a small brush for cleaning the filter.
Although the Airwrap id discount at Dyson is AU$699, Amazon it's AU$4 cheaper, but you can offer Dyson the same price in an identical color scheme.
From a purely economic perspective, I'd go with the Airwrap origin at A$399. Honestly, this is more than enough for most users as you can add curls or straighten your hair.
Of course, you can spend more time adding waves manually, which the Airwrap ID will do in a jiffy once you set them up right in the app, but for me it's not a big enough upgrade to justify spending money on a more expensive option.
However, if it's important to you and you can put all your investment to good use, an Airwrap ID will essentially future-proof your styling routine.
