Publishers Clouded Leopard Entertainment and Spiral Up Games, together with developer The Swordman Studio, have announced that the 3D pixelated RPG wuxia Wandering Sword will be released on PlayStation 5 on May 28, 2026. The game will be released later this year on Nintendo Switch 2 and Nintendo Switch.

Both digital and physical editions are planned, with the latter being available in Japan and throughout Asia. Players can now pre-order the digital edition from the PlayStation Store for $34.99 / £29.99 / €34.99 / ¥4,928, or opt for the Deluxe Edition for $44.99 / £39.99 / €44.99 / ¥6,578, which includes an accessory pack and the game's digital soundtrack. All pre-orders come with 72 hours of early access and two exclusive costumes.

Originally developed by Shanghai indie The Swordman Studio, Wandering Sword debuted on PC via Steam on September 15, 2023. Published by Singapore-based Spiral Up Games, the game quickly became an outstanding success, earning over 31,000 reviews and a 94% “overwhelmingly positive” rating. The combination of classic wuxia storytelling, tactical combat, and rich world-building has made it one of the most celebrated indie RPGs of recent years.

The new versions for PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch, published by Clouded Leopard Entertainment, will come bundled with Steam add-ons for Mount Pack: The Supreme Steed and Immortal Trails Across the Blue Sea. These editions will also include newly recorded Japanese and Chinese voice-overs, as well as Japanese and Korean subtitles, expanding accessibility to players worldwide.

The team will reveal details about the full voice cast and additional updates in the coming months as Wandering Sword prepares to release its martial arts adventure on consoles.
