WATCH: Highlights from CMR Football's playoff win over Butte
In early November, it's time again for the Tribune Athlete of the Week.
Congratulations to the latest Athlete of the Week poll winners: Willa Wetzel of the KM Russell girls cross country team and Steele Harris of Great Falls High School soccer.
Each week during the competition, two girls and two boys will be nominated and the winner will be chosen by viewers through a poll posted below.
Athletic directors, coaches, parents and fans are encouraged to submit future Athlete of the Week nominations for all sports in North Central Montana. Nominations for future Athlete of the Week polls can be sent to sports reporter Grady Higgins at [email protected].
Voting in this week's poll runs until 11:59 pm Friday, and the winners of the poll will be announced in next week's Athlete of the Week story.
Nominees for Girls Athlete of the Week
Taya Osier, CMR volleyball player: On Thursday, Oct. 30, the junior led the Rustlers with 18 kills against Great Falls High.
Scarlett Harris, Great Falls High School volleyball player: The junior earned seven kills and two serviceable aces in a match against CMR on Oct. 30.
Nominees for Youth Athlete of the Week
Mason Cannon, Great Falls High School football player: The junior led the Bison with 118 yards rushing and two touchdowns in a playoff win over Helena High.
Caleb Taylor, CMR football player: The senior threw for 281 yards, four touchdowns and completed 17 of 24 passes in a playoff win over Butte.
