The Toronto Blue Jays slugger arrived Saturday afternoon at Rogers Center with a Team Canada jersey on his back; At the back, the name and number 29 of forward Marie-Philippe Poulin was very visible. The media present in the corridors of the stadium quickly noticed the star player's outfit.
So Guerrero Jr. found an inspiration worth mentioning. Poulin does compete regularly at major sporting events and has won, among other things, four Olympic medals, including three gold.

However, Vlad Jr.’s initiative did not go unnoticed by the main person involved. Poulin did show up at the Jays house and proudly wore the team's white jersey…with Guerrero Jr.'s name and number on the back. In fact, the player received help from Sportsnet presenter Ailish Forfar, who generously donated her bib for the occasion.
Later that evening, Hockey Canada showed a photo of Poulin wearing a jersey – this time blue – in honor of Vlad Jr.
The Jays will face the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 7 of the World Series. The match will be preceded by a 30-minute pre-match show, which will air on TVA Sports 2 from 8:00 p.m.
