Malhotra joins Obama's production company in April 2023 as president.
Former Showtime documentary executive Malhotra produced a number of high-profile series during his two-and-a-half years at the company, including Starting from 5 a ten-part Netflix basketball series featuring a behind-the-scenes look at five of the league's best players, which recently premiered its second season, and Yard of Gold which chronicled the men's Olympic basketball tournament in Paris in 2024.
The company will now be led by head of film Anika McLaren, head of television Jesse Dikovicki and head of nonfiction and sports Ethan Lewis.

Malhotra left Showtime in 2023.
