Thirty-six years after his debut in the popular series Caleb's DaughtersPatrick Goyette is still working in the profession, although his path has not been a long and quiet river, and the profession is marked by uncertainty and periods of waiting.
The actor who just celebrated his 60th birthdaye Jubilee could have given up more than once, but he stood and held on.
He doesn't have anything planned right now, but this isn't his first barbecue. He even returned to university to teach when his work became less busy.

“There were times when I was more bitter because it is difficult when you are less in the light. When you come into the shadows, it is difficult to live with. There is a financial aspect, but it is also internal – always waiting. I am happy that I am still an actor, I like it, I am lucky, but even after 36 years in the profession nothing is known, when the contract ends, you don’t know.”
From STAT has unprotected

After playing STAT when the series was still a daily, it now appears in unprotectedat the center of the firm's investigation to get Leo MacDonald (Sébastien Delorme) out of prison after he was convicted of the murder of the dangerous Dylan Blondin (Patrice Gaudin).
His character, retired investigator Karl Melosh, was commissioned by M.e Alain (Maxim Roy) will lead Operation Mister Big with private investigators Maxime Dubois (Mathieu Baron) and Claude Gagnon (Nathalie Madore) to force Blondin's accomplice, Robert Boivin (Hugo Girard), to spill the beans that he was part of a plot to kill Leo and that Blondin was well and truly armed when Leo ran over at him with his car, in an act of self-defense.
It was corrupt investigator Alec Diaz (Thomas Vallières) who made the weapon disappear, remember, by stripping Leo of that card when he found himself in the dock.
Meloche, referred to as Paul Sirois in the context of the current Mr. Big, leads Boivin to believe that he is willing to invest in his company Pneus 2000, which also has a partner, Nathalie Guillotte (Genevieve Laroche). He manipulates him into believing that he too has lost his son, seeking him out in his most vulnerable places to gain his trust. Boivin is dangerous in the eyes of Melosh, a nervous man who does not like surprises.
“It was really fun work with Hugo. This is quite a masculine thing. When you come into the neighborhood, he doesn't have to do much for us to believe his tough guy character,” Patrick Goyette said.
“Meloch runs the risk of getting caught at any moment. What's interesting to me is that my character is a chameleon. In my performance, I wanted Meloch to be reserved and have little humor in him, but when he becomes Paul Sirois and he is with Boivin, it is something else: he laughs and is open in his gestures, in his way of expressing himself.

Speaking of jokes, Meloch has a hard time dealing with Claude's questionable jokes, which leads to some nice arguments.
“He doesn’t really like her attitude, he finds her worthless!”
Melosh's infiltration will continue for some time and could lead to Leo's release from prison and at the same time bring down the rotten Diaz.
“He didn’t die, so I don’t know if he’ll ever come back,” said the man who is still talked about today. Caleb's Daughtersespecially since the series is being revived thanks to platforms.
“There are friends of my younger children, who are 9 and 11 years old, who tell me: “I saw you in Daughters of Caleb!” emphasized the actor, who believes that this series, shot as a film, “ages very well.”
Regarding STATPatrick Goyette doesn't know when he'll have to defend new scenes as he plays the “mysterious” father of emergency physician Jacob Faubert (Lou-Pascal Tremblay). Since the series adopted a 24-episode-per-year format, nothing was filmed.
