Samuel Montembeault got off to a rough start Tuesday night against the Philadelphia Flyers, giving up three times on the first six shots thrown at him as the Canadian in front of him struggled offensively in the first period.

This shaky start to the match drew sarcastic applause from the fans seated in the Bell Center as the national team goalkeeper saved two fairly easy shots. At that point, Montreal had only taken one shot, against Dan Vladar.
However, the cheers were much more genuine and intense when Montembeault blocked the Flyers' next shot with a less comfortable shot.
The Quebec goalie won his last start Saturday in Montreal, a 4-3 overtime win over the Ottawa Senators.

But Montembeault is struggling early in the season, with a 3-3 record and .839 OPS.
