5ive Bullet Games has announced that its upcoming survival horror game, Victim Complex, will be featured at the Steam Scream Fest, which begins on October 27th. An all-new demo will debut during the event, giving players their first look at the frightening world of fake ghost hunter Jack Loughnar as his staged ghosts become frighteningly real.
Victim Complex follows Jack, a man who makes a living by pretending to investigate haunted places so property owners can renovate or sell them. His videos always end with the same result: no ghosts found. But one night, while filming in a crumbling apartment complex, Jack's familiar routine begins to unravel. His tools, which once served as the backbone of his scams, begin to reveal real paranormal activity, and the shadows around him seem to whisper his name.
Now trapped among restless spirits, Jack must rely on his fake ghost-hunting gear to survive the all-too-real nightmare. Each encounter takes him deeper into the stories of the dead, forcing him to confront both the truth behind the ghosts and his own past deceptions.
