Take a look at the dark fantasy world of VANRAN
Independent studio BECUZUS has released the first global debut gameplay trailer for its dark fantasy RPG VANRAN. Unlike the previous cinematic teaser, this new trailer focuses entirely on actual gameplay footage, highlighting real-time combat, large-scale boss encounters, and the core systems that define the gameplay.
After being showcased at events such as ChinaJoy and Gamescom, VANRAN has already attracted attention with its massive bosses, fast movement and signature chaining system. This system allows for smooth movement and combat, creating a constant feeling of flow. The narrative is woven directly into the gameplay, rather than presented in separate videos. Exploration plays a key role: the player's actions influence the behavior of enemies and trigger events that move the narrative forward.
Combat emphasizes momentum and aggression, encouraging players to stay active through parries, guard breaks, and flexible chain transitions. Every meeting is designed to feel intense and reactive.
WANRAN takes place in a corrupted underground world. It follows Caleb, a lone warrior searching for truth and redemption among demonic forces. Inspired by myths like Orpheus and Eurydice and works like Dante's Divine Comedy, the story focuses on emotional depth and meaningful player choices. Decisions affect progress, reveal hidden paths, and shape the game's ending without a single fixed ending.
Technically, VANRAN uses BECUZUS hybrid optimization engine and advanced artificial intelligence systems. Enemies coordinate tactics in real time, and large bosses like the Titan have complex mechanics that can be rigged and adaptive animations.
Designed to welcome newcomers and challenge experienced players, VANRAN will launch a global Steam demo with Chapter 1. A full release is planned for PC and consoles in December 2026. However, the studio has not announced which consoles the game will be released on. So stay tuned for future updates.
