Toronto – fans of Taylor Swift, who attended the final show The Pop Singer's Eras Tour in Vancouver last year, can hear a small piece of themselves in their new album.
The title track “Tanfgelchiki Life” ends with the last address of Swift to the applause crowd at the BC Place.
During the introduction to the track that Swift gives on Amazon music, she says that she becomes emotional, hearing how the crowd roars back, because, being at the stage of the tour of Eras, the last time this is the main memory for her for the last time.
Swift says that the song tells the story of a fictional show -girl named Kitty, depicted by Sabrina Carpenter, who offers the character of Swift the harsh truth about what it means to work in the show -business as a woman.
Swift performed with three full house show at the stadium in the city center in December last year after the sale of the Rogers center in Toronto for six nights.
Canada was a final country for the 149th show of a 20-month round of eras, in which there was a brilliant global race to more than 10 million fans in 19 countries.
“It always chokes me, because he returns me to this actual memory of standing at this stage for the last time in this tour that was so important for me, and the tour that really inspired the album,” says Swift on Friday from The Life of A Showgirl, her first album since the completion of the tour.
