Vagrus – The Riven Realms continues to expand
Lost Pilgrims has announced the release of At the Heart of Ruin, the game's most ambitious expansion yet. Vagrus: Shattered Kingdoms on Nintendo Switch. After over a year of focused development, the DLC arrived on Nintendo platforms on December 22, immediately following its release elsewhere. The latest launch reflects a longer approval process on the platform rather than any changes to the content itself.
In addition to the expansion, the studio is also preparing to release the Ruinous Supporter Pack. This optional expansion allows players to support the developers by unlocking a new cosmetic outfit for every companion character in the game. Each design takes inspiration from the factions and figures featured in At the Heart of Ruin. These appearance options do not affect gameplay and serve purely as visual options for players who like to customize their party. Supporter Recruitment store pages will be available shortly after launch.
At the Heart of Ruin greatly expands on the dark fantasy and story arc of Vagrus. The expansion takes players to the Fire Mountains, a harsh and dangerous region where the decaying remains of an ancient Dwarven kingdom still cling to existence. Exploring this area is fraught with risk and tension, with players often controlling small groups as they navigate treacherous mountain paths and battle some of the most formidable enemies the game has ever encountered.
The expansion offers a wide range of new content, including carefully crafted storylines, standalone locations, and innovative mechanics that enhance the overall experience. Lost Pilgrims also confirmed plans to continue development of the expansion post-release, expanding one of the main storylines through free updates to ensure it gets the depth and attention it deserves.
