Avengers: Judgment Day (December 18, 2026)
Details of this film have changed since Marvel has parted ways with Jonathan Majors after being found guilty of assault and stalking. Will his character, Kang the Conqueror, continue to appear in the MCU in some way? This seems unlikely. It was originally called Avengers: Kahn Dynasty, but at the 2024 San Diego Comic-Con we learned that the next Avengers movie is now called Avengers: Judgment Day and will feature the return of Robert Downey Jr. himself as Doctor Doom (somehow)! Avengers: Secret Wars will bring an end to the Multiverse saga and Phase 6 of the MCU a year later.
In March 2025 Marvel has revealed the full cast of Doomsday live with surprises including Channing Tatum's Gambit and a number of other X-Men fan favorites. After Marvel's latest delayAvengers 5 will be released in theaters on December 18, 2026.
TV series Vision Quest (2026)
In October 2022, Deadline reported that a WandaVision spin-off called Vision Quest was in development, opening up a writers' room. Possibility of appearance of Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) Vision of the show was not excluded in the report. Star Trek: Picard showrunner Terry Matalas will oversee the series under the direction of Paul Bettanywhich is expected to be released in 2026.
The Punisher Marvel Special (2026)
Jon Bernthal's Punisher was introduced to the MCU as part of Daredevil: Born Again, but that won't be the last we see of him. Marvel is currently in development separate special episode featuring the characterin the spirit of Guardians of the Galaxy and Werewolf by Night. Bernthal is co-writing the script with We Own This City's Reynaldo Marcus Green.
Avengers: Secret Wars (December 17, 2027)
Avengers: Secret Wars It will mark the end of both the MCU's Phase 6 and the entire Multiverse saga, which includes Phases 4, 5, and 6. It will be released almost exactly a year after Avengers: Judgment Day, on December 17, 2027. It will also be a big-screen adaptation of the beloved Secret Wars comic, in which the Avengers, Fantastic Four and X-Men teamed up to stop an unimaginable threat.
Blade (date TBD)
Blade will return to the big screen starring Mahershala Ali… or at least we hope so. The thing is, other than a quick voice-over appearance in The Eternals, we have yet to learn anything more about Blade Ali. Marvel initially announced a November 3, 2023 release date at SDCC 2022. However, the film has since been pushed back to February 14, 2025, as production was reportedly halted due to Ali's dissatisfaction with the script and the departure of director Bassam Tariq. The date was then pushed back to November 7, 2025, and it was just recently reported that the film had been pulled from the release calendar. But Marvel boss Kevin Feige says they are still working on the film, which, after some hesitation, will now be ready. the action takes place in the present day.
Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings 2 (date to be announced)
At one point, Destin Daniel Cretton, who directed the first film, was said to return to write and direct Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings 2. “We're in the very early stages of brainstorming and figuring out what direction we want to go in,” he told IGN back in 2021. “But yeah, we'll be kind of working on a lot of these things simultaneously from now until we start filming.”
The thing is, the director ended up making Spider-Man: New Day, which obviously took precedence over Shang-Chi. However, Shang-Chi will appear in Avengers: Judgment Day, so another solo film is certainly still possible.
Armor Wars (date to be announced)
Don Cheadle may return as James Rhodes – War Machine – in Armor Wars, which was originally intended to be a Disney+ series. The project was originally described as “a classic Marvel story about Tony Stark's worst fear coming true: what happens when his technology falls into the wrong hands?” However, in September 2022, The Hollywood Reporter reported that the project was being turned into a film rather than a series. We haven't heard much about it since then, so it's possible this project will never come together as Disney and Marvel cut back on the number of MCU movies and shows they're making.
