Need a new Pokemon T-shirt? Don't answer this. Can you be convinced to buy a new Pokemon T-shirt if a good one comes along? Well, get ready because fashionable Japanese streetwear company Uniqlo has announced a new Pokémon collaboration for 2026.
According to the company, the new product should arrive at the end of March. UniClo websiteand includes seven unique designs – some for adults, some for children (often differentiated by the main color of the shirt). I think a standout design for adults is the blue Snorlax t-shirt with the sleepy character on the left chest and the words “Snorlax is awake!” underneath it. Although there is a gray Gengar t-shirt with an evil smiling character in the middle of the chest that I think would work.
The best kids tee (and I don't know why they don't make it in adult sizes) is the sunshine yellow (or is Easter yellow a real color?) with a Pikachu design. Both kids and adults receive a white watercolor style t-shirt with cute little Bulbasaur, Charmeleon and Squirtle characters in the middle and the words “I only have 3 left, but you can have one!” Choose!” under. I think it's a quote from one of the games when you get your Pokemon at the beginning? It could even be the original Pokemon game. This is where I really expand my knowledge of Pokemon.
Pokemon turns 30 next year—I'll look away while you turn to dust at that realization—and the official date for the celebration is apparently February 27th. But Pokemon arrived west a few years later and didn't land in the UK until 1999. I know this because I researched the story of how Pokémon significantly disrupted Games Workshop when it came. I know it's an unlikely competition, but it changed the course of Warhammer operations forever.
Uniqlo t-shirts for adults cost €19.90, and children's t-shirts cost €12.90. Maybe we can try to squeeze into one of the smaller ones?
Uniqlo is no stranger to Pokemon collaborations. Earlier this year he released an engaging and perhaps very knowledgeable Magikarp design, which referred to the creature as an “expert squirter”..
This year it was launched Pokemon Legends: ZA on Nintendo Switch – another intermediate and slightly unusual part of Pokémon Switch. It was a little uneven, but overall Chris Tapsell enjoyed it. “Lumiose City could have worked, but Pokémon Legends: ZA is a much more focused and delightfully silly return to form. At least by modern Pokémon standards,” he wrote in his book. Pokémon Legends: ZA review.
