His name will now forever be associated with NFL players Derrick Henry, Kyler Murray, Bryce Young and Jackson Dart, who also earned the honor while playing secondary positions.
He also becomes only the fourth player to win the award before his final year of eligibility.
During his last campaign, Gabriel Georges totaled 1,756 yards on the ground and crossed the end zone 27 times for Baylor High School in Tennessee. He helped his team finish the season with a perfect 12–0 record and also win the state championship.
During the semifinal against Baylor's great rival, Macallie High, where several other Quebecers play, Gabriel Georges put on a video game-worthy performance: 32 carries, 431 yards and seven touchdowns.
The 6-foot, 205-pounder is the second-best running back in the 2027 recruiting class and has more than 30 college offers across the United States, according to 247Sports.
In recent weeks, he has narrowed his list to eight universities, which includes prestigious programs Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Texas, Ohio State and Tennessee, among others.
