Tyra Banks Releases First Song in Two Decades, Introduces Alter Ego “Santa SMiZE” │ Exclaim!

More than two decades later, former supermodel, mogul and now ice cream brand owner Tyra Banks stepped into the studio and returned to music with the release of “Santa SMiZE, Santa SMiZE.”

Not only has the former supermodel shared a new single, but she's also introducing a new alter ego of the same name (who has an inexplicable Southern accent?). The song, written by Banks and produced by Jean-Yves “Jiv” Ducornet, is a festive Christmas dance track, which is Banks' brand given her early 2000s club hits.

In the song, Banks talks about a family dancing at Christmas dinner: “Daddy, take the cat walk, let it be hot” and “Granny give them that dirty wine.” He also sings out the assortment of desserts from around the world that the family serves, listing items such as candy canes, mochi, peach cobbler, panathon, pumpkin pie and, of course, ice cream.

The single's release follows Banks' ice cream brand SMiZE & Dream going viral for its “hot ice cream,” and Banks apparently isn't done representing the brand just yet.

“Santa SMiZE, Santa SMiZE” is Banks' first song since her 2004 club single “Shake Ya Body,” which debuted on the second season of her reality modeling show. America's Next Top Model.
