Turning Point U.S. Chief Operating Officer Tyler Boyer said Erica Kirk's early endorsement of Vice President J.D. Vance for 2028 is aimed at unifying Republicans and creating chaos for Democrats.
“She ran it with me,” Boyer said The Daily Caller's Reagan Reese. “We captained this ship in the J.D. Vance 28 campaign.”
Boyer said the endorsement demonstrates a broad conservative consensus, not just Turning Point's position.
“It's not just us. It's a virtual feeling for everyone,” he said. “He's at 50 in almost every poll. It's stupid to consider anything else.”

Secretary of State Marco Rubio echoed that sentiment in an interview with Vanity Fair published Dec. 17, saying he would be “one of the first to support” Vance if the vice president were to run.
Recent polls have confirmed Vance's leadership status. November New Hampshire survey showed him leading the GOP with 57% support, with Rubio trailing with 9%. An Emerson College poll taken in June showed Vance at 46% among Republican primary voters.
Boyer pointed to 2024 as a model of early party unity.
“We've made it very clear, the party and the people have been very clear: We want Trump back. And we did it early,” he said. “Then they had to deal with this whole Biden-Kamala thing, and it didn’t work out very well for them.”
He predicted that Democrats would face similar upheavals in 2028 if Republicans consolidate now behind Vance.
“We just need to get behind our guy, J.D. Vance, and then just point that rocket ship straight ahead,” Boyer said.
