Provincial police say two teenagers have been charged with second-degree murder after a shooting in a northern Ontario First Nation left one person dead and another injured on Wednesday.
Police say they were called to the scene on Echam Drive in Ginoogaming First Nation around 2:15 a.m. on a report of shots fired, and officers found one person dead and another injured.

The OPP issued a two-day shelter in place order as officers searched for two armed suspects, all schools in the area were closed and residents were advised to stay home.
Police now say two teenagers from Brampton, Ontario, ages 15 and 18, have been arrested and charged with second-degree murder and attempted murder with a firearm.
The Nishnawbe Aski Nation, which represents 51 First Nations communities in northern Ontario, said Thursday the shooting was drug-related, prompting leaders to re-declar a state of emergency due to an “escalating crisis” of illegal drugs and deaths at Ginoogaming.
Ginoogaming First Nation Chief Sheri Taylor said at a news conference Thursday that the federal and Ontario governments must immediately provide a service delivery model that will provide more resources to Indigenous people to address the drug crisis.
