TSSAA football state champions up for Ponce Law Boys Athlete of the Week

There were some great performances. TSSAA football state championships and CSAA basketball games last week.

Kaydin Marable, BGA: Marable was 24 of 31 passing for 384 yards and four touchdowns and rushing for 61 yards and three touchdowns in BGA's 61-27 win over FRA for the Division II-AA state championship.

Larry Sanders II, Brentwood Academy: Sanders rushed for 215 yards and three touchdowns on 29 carries in BA's 28-24 loss to Baylor in the DII-AAA state championship.

Brody Sanders, Davidson Academy: Sanders scored 26 points with five 3-pointers in a 64-59 win over Merrall Hyde.

Michael Fish, Father Ryan: Fish scored 29 points in a 62-58 win over Hillsboro.

Nash Stark, Lipscomb Academy: Stark had 26 points and 12 rebounds for a double-double.

Jared Curtis, Nashville Christian: Curtis was 14 of 19 passing for 205 yards and five touchdowns, plus 78 yards on four carries and a touchdown in Nashville Christian's 59-7 win over USJ in the DII-A state championship.

Craig Tutt, Auckland: Tutt set a TSSAA football state championship record with seven touchdowns in a 62-21 win over Ravenwood in the Class 6A final. He finished with 226 yards rushing on 32 carries.

Cohen Grissom, Paige: Grissom recorded 14 tackles, two sacks, 3.5 tackles for loss and two pass breakups in Page's 21-14 win over Sevier County in the Class 5A state championship.

Carmelo League, Pearl-Con: He had a league-high nine tackles, 0.5 tackles for loss, one sack and a forced fumble in Pearl-Cona's 47-27 loss to Alcoa in the Class 4A state championship.

Avery Coles, “White House Legacy”: Coles scored 31 points in a 64-60 win over Joe Byrnes.
